How much money do you have till the next paycheck?

I got laid off and my husband is out of school till Jan 2009, so we have $20 till the 1st of Dec and then we get $1000 that has to last the whole month. Just wanted to know how many other people are as broke as we are.

  • My dh lost his job in June but we were fortunate to have saved roughly 6 months of salary before that happened. We are down to the last little bit. Heres an idea though you can go to H&R block and get an advance on your tax return. They are doing them now. My dd went and got $600 back.

  • My husband has also found himself out of a job. We have about $40 to get us through the rest of this month and then when the SSI check we get for my son (we're having to live off that right now) arrives, we'll have around $600 for the month.

  • Well, I guess I'm not that bad off, my dh gets paid every 2 weeks and Dec 1st in our next payday. We have 650.00 til then. Will be using half of that today for Christmas.

  • My husband works full time (40+) and brings home $1200/ month... So up until the time I started my business that was the only income we had for 5 people to live on...

  • I know how you feel. My DH and I have $80 (to last us two weeks), plus feed our two kids.

  • I was just crying about this a few minutes ago. We have 32 cents, literally, until the 25th. Fortunantely we don't need any groceries right now, but still 32 cents is all we have.
