Why do people feel the need to control other peoples lives?

like Prop 8, what people choose to do is their business. Why can't people mind their own business.

Why do people have to complain about breastfeeding, circumcision, abortion, religion, civil rights, co-sleeping, and why I have great boobs?

Because everyone wants to make themselves feel better and more secure in their lives. We are a country that demands to be right. Sad really.

BTW, Gay people should have the right to marry - your churches won't get fined, your preachers won't go to jail. Chill out, give equal citizens equal rights.

I think some people get a sense of authority and a sense of power out of controlling other people's lives. They judge their own self-worth by how miserable they can make other people.

    Sad >:(

Probably because they feel their lives are out of control so if they can reign in some kind of control over other people they feel better.

And prop 8 should have never been allowed in the first place. People should be allowed to vote on what other people do in their personal lives.

Whether being put on the ballot was right or not, most people vote their conscience and beliefs. Many don't see it as 'controlling' other people's lives.

    QuinnMae, I agree.
That's why it never should have been on the ballot.

I agree why cant people mind their own business? Why do they force people to do things their way or no way? Like prayer in school shouldnt be anyones business but the person praying. Like the pledge of allegiance because it says God. You cant have it BOTH ways. If people want someone to be tolerant then they should be tolerant themselves. I wont expect anyone to back off any o f those issues and if they did then maybe there would be gay marriages. Quite personally until they start being tolerant of Christian and Moral beliefs I will not support Gay Marriage.

gemgem...... The people don't pay their bills, taxes or take care of their familly.....so the people who believe it is wrong let them deal with it on judgement day. I personally think alot of people need to stay out of this.
