This due dates thing???

I just calculated the old fashioned 9 months into weeks. And that comes to 36 weeks. But I here on cafemom you go to 40 or 42 weeks? That is 10, 101/2 months pregnant? So women are pergnant for 10 months now?

It couldn't have changed that much sense I had kids.  I am confused

  • ROFL they lie and call it 9 months cause really no one knows the first month but yeah 40 weeks is ten months and I knew the 3rd week.. They like to give you false hope that it is only 9 months..

  • I is 40 weeks that you are pregnant. 40 weeks that the dr. gives you for a due date. You can go on to be 42 if the baby isn't ready.

    * Of course a month is not usually 4 weeks.

10 months would be only 4-week months.

The EDD is an estimate (that's what the "E" stands for) and it's the mid-point within the (average) due period (38-42 weeks).

Many women are pregnant 11 months by your method of counting.
