High cholesterol

My DH went to the Dr. and was told his cholesterol is high. What are some foods that will help to lower his cholesterol? Or foods to avoid???

  • Cut high fat foods and use egg beaters or egg whites. It's the yolk that has the cholesterol. Eat mostly fruits and veggies.

  • I'm not sure how true it is, but on the Cheerios commercials they always say that eating them helps.

  • Avoid high calorie, high fat foods and empty calorie foods like soda and candy. Eat lots of vegetables, fruits, whole grains and ver lean meats or other protein.
