Have you ever made omelets-in-a-bag?

My one problem with these is that it seems to take a very long time to get the eggs cooked all the way through. Am I doing something wrong?

  • Yes, and yes they take a while! I did notice that the more extra stuff you put in, the longer they take, too. My kids like them fairly plain so they cook faster, but when we add meat, cheese, etc, they take longer. And if you add onions it seems like they'll never cook, they stay really soft. We only have them when camping so it's not a big deal, other than the adults wanting to eat and the kids' are still cooking! Also make sure you're only putting 2 eggs per bag!

  • I've never even heard of those. I use a little plastic microwaveable omelet maker or my husband will make them on the stove top.

  • Yeah, we make em when we go camping, it does take a little bit of time. But no one notices cause they are off playing!
