If you celebrate Mardi-gras: What's your favorite tradition and/or food dish?

I have a best friend who is casian and is visiting her grandmother in Louisiana this month. They have been going to the parades on Bourbon Street, and her grandmother is a wonderful casian cook. :) I think I may make some beignets tonight to celebrate. I also really like the tradition of the baby in the cake. We used to do this in school as we had a family in our class who regularly celebrated and wanted to educate the class about their traditions. It was so much fun!

  • I do not celebrate Mardi Gras, but my grandmother was Creole, and she used to always give me King Cake when I was a kid.
