  • I am this year because my son asked me to. I am giving up cursing. My son is giving up the word can't. My husband is giving up coffee.

And Sabrina, Lent isn't something only Catholics do. I grew up in a Lutheran church (which I do realize is really close to Catholic) and we were encouraged to observe Lent.

  • As a family we are fasting from meat, dairy, oil, sweets and alcohol. (although I just found out I am pregnant, which excludes me from fasting from foods) As a couple we are abstaining from sex. As an individual I am attending Pre-Sanctified Liturgy on Wednesday and have added rosary to my afternoon drive. We are preparing for the most important feast of the whole year!
