Playtex drop-ins

Please excuse me if this is a dumb question, but... Can the plastic inserts to theses bottles be reused? I got these as a shower gift for my son, opened the box, and never used them. I rediscovered them when pulling out his old baby stuff after I had my daughter. I've been using them with her now. I'm just curious if they're intended for multiple use.

  • I'm not sure if they are made for reuse...but I did! I just handwashed and dried them..kind of like plastic baggies.

  • Your suppose to buy a box of them. They are at Wal-Mart and they last a while. I have re used them before. I just cleaned them like i'd clean a regular bottle in hot water and soap. I just buy the box of them that lasts me for a while and throw them away, but if i'm running low on money and on the drop ins I sometimes just re use them.

  • You "could" reuse them I guess....but I never did....I like that they are sterile out of the box and never had any issue with the price. One box seemed to last me for a good while. I used the off brand which are just as good ;)

  • They aren't meant to be reused but I did... Just wash them out! Parents Choice makes generic ones that work just as well at almost half the price... I even washed those out... Talk about saving money!! I figure it's no different than washing a bottle...

  • Thanks! I really wasn't sure. Don't feel so bad that I've reused a few already, lol. Thanks for the Parents Choice tip ; ).

  • no they cannot, also if your are using powered formula in them measure your water in a standard bottle. they do not measure correctly.

  • How don't they measure correctly?

  • They are not meant to be reused. Target has a generic brand as well, if you are worried about the cost.
