A "trashy" question.

How much trash would you say your family goes through in a day?

I have a family of three (plus a cat) and we go through at LEAST one bag a day. I feel like i am constantly changing out trash bags! lol.

  • Family of 4 here, and we take the bag out at least twice a day, and that's without any recyclables, they go in separate bins.

  • We go thru 2 kitchen sized garbage bags a week, if I go through drawers or deep clean or organize maybe three bags, but paper products tend to either get burned in the fireplace or put in the compost bin

  • Family of 3, 2-3 bags a week. That doesn't include recycling, plastic goes in a separate bin and and cardboard/ paper gets burned (recycled in the summer).

  • Family of 6, 1 bag a day at least. I would say the bulk of it is diapers.
