  • My SO & his mother have a very close relationship therefore I am in constant contact with her. Her bday is Dec 23 but we get her a gift every year. My daughter picks out a new willowtree person each year for her. But yes we do send out cards to all those we are close with or make a phone call or visit.

  • My MIL lives in India. I send her birthday presents every year on her birthday and other holidays.. We only speak on the phone, my in laws moved back to India over 25 years ago, however they are still my parents no matter where they are in the world.

  • We live very close...AND our first daughter was born on her we physically see her on or around her birthday. We usually do a dinner or gift or something with her instead of a card.

  • We always see her on or near her birthday, but we always call her on her birthday.

I have a wonderful mother in law, so I am happy to do it. She stays out of our business, always tries to help us when she can and never guilts us - if anything, she expects too little!

I know I am one of the lucky few!
