Math Help please

The second side of a triangle is 6 centimeters longer than three times the first side. The third side is 2 centimeters longer than the second side. If the perimeter is 35 centimeters, find the length of each side of the triangle

  • A+B+C = 35 cm
    B= (Ax3 )+6
    C=(Ax3)+6+2

    35-(B+C)=A

  • One side = x
    Second side = 3x +6
    Third side = 3x + 8

    Therefore:

    x + (3x +6) + (3x + 8) = 35
    7x + 14 + 35
    7x = 21
    x = 3

    Side one = 3
    Side two = 15
    Side three = 17

    All three sides total 35.
