Floride treatments

they give floride treatments to the kids at school but everytime my daughter gets one her when she comes home from school her breath smells soo bad. i tell her to go and brush her teeth and she does but it doesnt help. anyone elses kid have really bad breath after a treatment?

  • If you have fluoride is in your water, don't do the treatments. They will get streaks, and white spots on their teeth from too much fluoride. Her bad breath doesn't sound like it's from the treatment anyway since you said she still has bad breath after brushing. You can always make a call to the dentist if you like to inquire about it.

  • well she doesnt have bad breath before she goes to school and any other time except the days they give floride. and yes im not sure why they are doing them anyways when most everyone around here is on city water which is treated. so i may not have her do treatments anymore. last tiem she went to the dentist about 3 months ago the dentist was going to do sealants but didnt because she was amazed at how good they looked and that she didnt think my dd needed them.
