I need meal and snack ideas for children!

I have just started nannying an 18 month old. I also have a 3 year old and a 2 year old. I dont want to always wonder what to feed them and I told her mom I would try and get them a monthly menu of what we will be eatting. I will have this little girl mostlikely for 2 snacks, lunch, and dinner on most nights. If you have any ideas of what to give them or good places to get child friendly recipies. I dont cook very well unless I have it sitting in front of me and I can only use the same stuff so often without everyone getting bored.

  • I make a cereal mix for my 3yo & make it in large bins so its always on hand with or w/o milk. Raisins & craisins mix plus you can add more dried fruits to that. Starfruit my 3yo just tried it & loved it. Homemade mac & cheese you can freeze the roux in portions then toss frozen roux in pot & let it melt down cook up pasta & mix. Quasidillas again you can freeze cooked pulled chicken defrost in microwave simply folded tortillas with cheese & meat or not baked in oven for short amount of time. Pizzas on english muffins. Corned beef pieces have a corned beef for dinner then eat leftover pieces cold for snack mmmm. Plates of slice of deli meat, stick of cheese & a fruit slice or whatever combo works for ya. Peanutbutter sands. Pancakes with fruit in them even puree up the fruit into a paste add to mix then cook pancakes will be different colors, you can make paste & freeze as well.

  • Pulled bbq sands again freeze the cooked meat into portions & defrost when wanted. You can freeze butternut squash & sweet potatoes into portions then toss in oven when wanted in a casserole dish stir it up every so often but comes out like new. Kabobs kids may think these are fun just some chicken & veggies maybe zucchini. Pineapple slices, I suggest you get fun/different fruits such as the starfruit, pineapple, coconut & teach the kids about them. Explain where they come from etc then have them try it. French toast with powdered sugar instead of syrup cut them into sticks too so they can dip it in a pile of powerdered sugar. Pumpkin bread, banana bread, muffins

  • Baked beans..... lol try different things they may like the things or not you never know. With beans you can freeze them too & put in microwave on defrost when wanted. My 3yo likes weird things like starfruit, roast beef, baked beans, plain whole wheat tortillas.... so sorry if my suggestions seem strange but my daughter likes to eat what is considered strange for small children a lot =) Dont starve them if they dont like something but encourage they try the stuff nonetheless.
