  • I always carry my own shopping bags. In the city where I live, some stores do not offer/use plastic bags.

  • I have fabric bags that I use all the time. I think on average we bring home 4 plastic bags per month, usually when DH forgets to take the fabric ones in with him. I do need a new plastic reusable bag for my meats though. I am also sewing some fabric produce bags so we can avoid that plastic too.

  • We use fabric bags. They're more heavy duty so you know a handle or the bag won't rip or tear and groceries go spilling everywhere.

  • I already have a ton of them and use them most of the time (sometimes I forget them, though). Apparently I'm the only person around here who uses them because every time I check out the cashier is like, "Huh? You have a bag? Wow really? So do you want your stuff in the plastic bags and your bags?" It's crazy. That's literally almost word for word the conversation that we have every time.
