  • I don't follow it, but a girlfriend that does says she is giving up porn and donuts. Odd combo, but, whatever! Lol!

  • @ L0vingMy3Girls, Lent is a time of sacrifice for Jesus, leading up to Easter.

  • I posted this to a similar question asked yesterday.
As a family we are fasting from meat, dairy, oil, sweets and alcohol. (although I just found out I am pregnant, which excludes me from fasting from foods) As a couple we are abstaining from sex. As an individual I am attending Pre-Sanctified Liturgy on Wednesday and have added rosary to my afternoon drive. We are preparing for the most important feast of the whole year!
Lent is a big deal in our church. I now it sounds like a lot..but everyone does it so it's not that weird in my community.

  • As a family, we are giving up sugar and between meal snacks. Ice cream is going to be the hardest for all of us. We eat it 3-4 times a week. oy

We are attending Stations of The Cross weekly too
