Maternity clothes GRRRR

So far I have been lucky enough to only have needed to buy 3 pairs of maternity pants and a couple of shirts that my mom and MIL bought for me. But I am getting so big so quick now hardly anything fits and I don't have money for new clothes- especially ones that I will only wear for another 2 months maybe 3! So many shops ask ridiculous prices for clothes you aren't going to wear for that long. I can't justify spending $40 on a shirt that will only last 3 months! Much less a wardrobe full of them.

Where do you get your maternity clothes?

So frustrated.

  • Have you tried cosigment shops, they have used tops that are hardly used? They are pretty nice and cheap. I use to wear the same pants a lot and chg my tops, but if your not working I'd not worry around the house too too much. There is also Walmart, or a GoodWill if you have them in your area. KMart or Target also, just to name a few.

  • Most of mine came from Walmart. They weren't bad price-wise and lots of them were really cute.

  • I always check Good Will and second hand stores. they usually have clothes that are just like new for really cheap prices. Like you said, You don't get to wear them long so they generally don't wear out. A lot of Stores that Sell Second hand baby clothes (Also an amazing deal most of the time.) Also sell Maternity clothes.

  • Most of mine came from Motherhood, but I've seen some on freecycle. I sold all of mine, which was a fairly extensive wardrobe on craigslist for $50 so you might try there too.

  • Maternity clothes are expensive so I just bought regular clothes like t-shirts, tanks, yoga pants, leggings and whatnot but one size bigger. They've lasted me throughout my whole pregnancy and I didn't have to spend a ton on them because they're not marketed as 'maternity clothes'. I can also use them after pregnancy until my body goes back to the size it was before.

  • I got them at Motherhood Maternity and Old Navy. Do you have any mommy friends who could lend you some? Maybe check Good Will or Craig's List.
