1 Bump

Fever blisters/coldsores HELP PLEASE!!

I have a fever blister like thing that pops up on right.below my bottom lip like every 3 months. It comes up in the exact same spot everytime! But its not like 1 bump, its like 3 or 4 little bitty bumps and it hurts and utches.

What can this be? What is the best thing to get rid of it?

  • Go to the Dr. They will give you a prescription medication that you can take once you feel one coming on.... basically when you get that "tingling" feeling on your lip, then you take the medication and it prevents them from coming out. There is also a cream that they can prescribe if the fever blister has already formed.

  • Skip the doctor. The minute you feel the tingle coming on, load up on Vitamin C (I personally take 1,000 mg every hour for 6-8 hours and the cold sore never develops). I used to get them all the time and I no longer have outbreaks of any kind. Vitamin C is a natural anti-viral and will fight the virus and it is complete non-toxic because it is water soluble and whatever your body doesn't need just gets flushed out. You can also try Lysine; it's supposed to work well on cold sores. Make sure you take probiotics if you're not already doing so. Fever blisters/cold sores come on because of a weakened immune system so make sure you keep yours strong.

  • well fever blisters is in the family of herpes and basically what that means you carry the virus and some people do and some people don't dont freak out it doesnt mean you have a std....plus you could be having inner fever if you are sick and this is a way of getting rid of the bacteria i am a nurse and yes you can go the doctor and get a rx or if you want something otc go your local discount /drug store and get you some abreva its about ten dollars but it works don't like your lips and DON'T put carmex on it...it will make it worse.
