Question about ovulation *TMI* adult content

I ovulate 2 weeks out of the month. I swear its ridiculous. Anyway since I have had my last child (2) I have had a large amount of discharge. Sometimes it is in strands, sometimes chunks. Is that normal or should I bring it up to my ob?

  • How do you know that you ovulate 2 weeks a month?

mucous is different for each woman. is this mucous normal for you? Has it always been this way or is it something recent. Also keep in mind that pregnancy changes your hormones and your mucous along with it.

If this is normal for you, bring it up but it probably is nothing.

  • I don't think it's anything to worry about. I never had discharge (hate that word) before I had kids. But, after two, I guess you get stretched out down there and your natural mucous comes out. Mine is milky white, no odor. Not enough to wear a pad but enough that there is a little in my panties at the end of the day.

  • The first week after your period, you are normally dry...
The second week it will thicken up and be somewhat clumpy...
Third week it will be like snot, stretchy ( that is fertile mucous)
Fourth week will dry out again and maybe even go completely away then a period...

That is based upon a 4 week, 28 day cycle. This is normal.

  • Welcome. For years, I thought I had yeast infections...turns out, it was my body doing what it was supposed to do.
