  • that sounds fun to me. just watch out for the drunk and high people and the smokers. take lots of pictures and buy him a t-shirt of something at everyone and maybe you can make a quilt out of it or something since he won't remember.
pay attention to his reaction too, if it makes him cranky during or after you might have to get babysitters or give it up.
best of luck to you and always watch for unlit stairs (i saw a mama fall on/with her baby at a state fair during a light show).

  • One thing that would concern me is the "aroma of the 60s" that can be found at concerts. Also the crowding can be a problem.

  • We always go to festivals. My DD has been to many, many festivals....sleeping in tents & playing all day with other children. We love it. we usually take her to smaller festivals now though, she is 9 now & i don't care for people being messed up around her. But, there are many small festivals here in the North GA mountains where it's very family/kid friendly. Usually, there are no more than 1000 people & sometimes a lot less. We prefer those small festivals now that we're older & our kid is older & much more impressionable.

I have never taken her to a concert. I would rather be kid-free at a concert so i can drink, dance & not have any responsibilities. Sometimes i don't bring her to festivals for that reason too. It's nice to be kid-free sometimes.

  • we would stand off to the side or in a pocket of space for the crowding problem. he hasnt been around any smoke (he is two months, and we are very careful about any smoke even a fire around him.) so i dont know what to do about the "aroma of the 60's" lol. i guess, still stand off to the side? kid- free will be fun too, one day. we dont really feel comfortable about a babysitter yet, even the GPs.
