Which is better, treadmill or elliptical machine?

  • it may depend on you and your goals!
    if my joints could take it, i would run and run some more!
    but my joints can not, so the elliptical is what i use!

  • Elliptical! works your legs but tummy and arms better w out the extra strain on your knees and ankles

  • i need to mention that running does work your tummy, however running on an elliptical as opposed to a treadmill will allow you to run for a longer distance because the force in which your legs hit when you run is what tires you sooner.

    I run for distance.

    If you're wanting to tone, elliptical. If you need to maintain...treadmill.
