Is being insecure a bad thing?

A question made me think of this. I feel like in high school or college the blanket statement of "She's/he's insecure" was a negative comment.

I'm a grownup now...ahem... and now I suppose I don't see what is so wrong with having insecurities....surely we must all have something we lack confidence over?

Is this the stupidest question on planet earth? I won't feel insecure about it...

  • I think there's a difference in doubting your ability to do something in particular versus being overall insecure. And as an adult, overall insecurity just isn't healthy.
