How do i get my 19 month old to sleep in his own bed again

for the last few months i have been letting my son sleep with me in my bed and hubby sleeps on the sofa how do i get him to sleep in his bed without him waking up crying and wanting to sleep with us

  • I went through this as well. Got the best advice from a mom at work. She emphasised the importance of absolute follow thru if you start this. Put the child in his own bed with all the hugs and kisses. No matter how much they whine and cry and scream do not let them in your bed. Go in periodically to kiss them goodnight. This may take 2-3 nights but it will work. My youngest one cried so hard that she almost threw up but I refused to give in. Three nights later problem solved! I was so thankful that it hadn't taken any longer. Good Luck

  • yes. what size bed do you have that your hubs wont fit with your kid.

  • well right now we sleep on air bed and we dont want to pop it
