  • Yes, my teenagers have bedtimes. Just because they become teenagers doesn't mean that they do not still need boundaries such as bedtimes.

My 13 yr old son has to be in his bedroom at 9:30. My 16 year old daughter has a 10pm bedtime, but she's usually heading to bed on her own between 8:30 and 9:30 - when she gets tired.

  • Mine are 12 and 14, so one is technically not a teenager, although during the week they have to be in bed by 10:00, usually 9 unless there is a show on they want to watch.

On the weekends I like them in bed by midnight. Some nights it is earlier then that and other is is later. On the weekends I don't get mad if they stay up as long as they aren't so loud they keep me or the rest of the house up. Last weekend my DH was working overnight and I went to bed, They ended up staying up until 2:00 AM playing a new video game. I didn't have a problem with this and the next day they went to bed early.

  • In theory. Mine all have to be in their rooms by 8:00-8:30 being quiet and I like them to be asleep by 10. I know this isnt always the case but they also know come 6am mama is coming to wake them up, so if they didnt get to bed til 2am they learn pretty fast not to do it again.

  • No. My boys are 16 and 17 and I expect them to be responsible enough to go to bed at a reasonable hour,

  • No. My 14 yr old decides when he goes to bed. He is the one who knows when he is tired or not. During the week, he is usually asleep by 10 and weekends, around 11.
