What's the coolest table number idea you've seen at a wedding?

I'm doing table numbers as part of my decorating for an Aunt's wedding reception and they are o.k. but not as stand-outish as I would like. What's the most creative idea you have ever seen?

  • We went to a wedding and the tables didn't have numbers...they had places. For example, we sat at the "Kennywood" table. (Kennywood is a famous amusement park in our area). In the centerpiece at each table was a postcard depicting the place and the couple had written a description of their first trip to that place together. It was so coordinated! IDK how they got all those postcards!

  • We were pregnant with number 4 at our wedding, and we only had about 40 guest, so we did 4 tables of 10 and the table numbers were our kids' names and the name we would name the baby. The place-cards looked like:

    Stephen Wilson

      Table Gavin

  • You could use the single digit birthday candles!
