  • IMO: The term "medical grade" is an advertising ploy. There are plenty of reputable manufacturers who produce excellent quality nutritional supplements that do not USE this term. Go to a good health food store and ask someone old enough to know what they are talking about. Whole Foods carries a number of good brands.

Also, if you shop on HSN, you'll find they carry Andrew Lessman supplements. I think his are some of the best available. I also like Dr Becker's Bio Innovations brand (available online - Dr Becker has a Holistic Health show on TLN, "Your Health"). I usually wait for sales (as I do with most items - not just supplements). I also recommend reading Dr Christiane Northrup's books on women's health. She has a more holistic approach to total health and wellbeing. GL :-)

  • BTW: Holistic medicine refers to the treatment of the whole individual; body, mind, and spirit. Not just masking symptoms or pushing the latest drug. Good Luck (again) :-D

  • getting our nutrients from food should be our #1 goal. start by increasing your green veggies. 5 veggies a day, and 3 fruits a day will get you off to a great start!
i think fish oil and probiotics are great for everyone.

  • I get a lot of nutrients from my meals, however, I take One A Day Women's Health "Body & Mind" vitamins on a daily basis. I absolutely can feel the difference in energy level and concentration since I've started taking them.

  • Just take a multi-vitamin. Don't give in to the crap you see on tv.
