Fish oil and toddler?

My son and I just got back from 18 month well child check-up with a new doctor, and he recommended giving DS a liquid multivitamin, and also pouring fish oil on his food. I've never thought about doing that. Do any of my fellow CMers do this?

  • we give our kids fish oil. we don't pour it on the food, we just give it to them. it is really good stuff! very good for many different bodily functions!
we use carson's lemon flavored...there is no fishy after taste! if it spills on the clothes, the fishy smell does not go be careful!

  • I know, right? I know fish oil is good for you, but it has literally never crossed my mind to give it to my toddler. It promotes brain development, so I don't know why I wouldn't have thought of it.
