What do you do when your baby goes on nursing strike?

My baby is 5 months almost and is going on a nursing strike. We just started introducing some new solid food into her life. But she screams whenever put to the breast and starts thrashing and throwing a hissy. What do you do?

  • I don't have any experience with this but if it happened after you introduced the solid food I would stop that and just try to nurse instead. Maybe if that is her only option she will not fight it so much.

Sorry I'm not much help. I hope you get some good answers!

  • It sounds like she is weaning herself off. Try pumping and seeing if she'll take a bottle
