Can this work for the new washing mashines that call for the he detergent?

  • Bar of soap, some baking soda...borax

    I done it once, it was really hard to make lol, I said forget it

    I've made my own for a couple of years now. It saves a TON of money. I just did a search on HE homeade laundry detergent and tons of stuff popped up. The above is one link. Making it is easy, especially if you choose the powdered forms. Personally, I prefer Fels Naptha soap, rather than Ivory or any other regular bar soap. It is in the laundry aisle, right near the washing soda (not baking soda) and borax. I also like the recipes that include baking soda AND washing soda. The baking soda is a softener and and odor elimintor, which is great if you have stinky men and boys. ;-)
