Help me understand the lil abbreviations that cafemoms use on here when posting stuff??

what is DH?
cant remember the rest so just send me some that u use! im 25, im very geeky with computer stuff and i feel lost when i see these abbreviations and i have no clue what they mean!

  • BF = Boy Friend (also sometimes best friend, breast-feeding or breakfast, depending on context!!)
    BIL = Brother-In-Law
    BTW = By The Way
    CIO = Crying It Out
    CM = CafeMom
    DD = Dearest Daughter, Darling Daughter, etc
    DF = Dear/Darling Fiance'
    DH = Dear Hubby (Or Husband), Darling Hubby, Darn Hubby, Dumb Hubby, etc
    DS = Dearest Son, Darling Son, etc (can also mean Direct Sales)
    FC = Foster Child
    FIL = Father-In-Law
    FWIW = For What It's Worth
    GF = Girl Friend
    IKWYM = I Know What You Mean
    IMHO = In My Humble/Honest Opinion
    JK = Just Kidding
    KWIM = Know What I Mean
    LMAO = Laughing My A$$ Off

  • They are abbreviations, I believe, that are meant strictly for this site, so don't feel bad about not knowing them. DH is dear husband. I use DS, DH, IMO the most. DS is dear/darling son, IMO is in my opinion. There is a whole bunch of them, so I would suggest going to the newcomers group, they have a post that lists all the abbreviations and what they mean.
