How so you make your green beans?

  • I have a couple ways I make them. If I want to make them unhealthy but yummy I put them in a crock pot with bacon, buttler, garlic and salt and let them cook for several hours. If I want to make them healthy I use fresh green beans and steam them with butter (just for flavor).

  • i have some that i freeze i cook them on the stove till fork can go throu
    when they are done i add butter sprinkle nutmeg on top it brings out the tast of the beans
    plus brings back home on the farm with my parents

  • I dice up some onions, add a can of diced tomatos, add garlic and salt and pepper and simme them for 20 mins... yumm!

  • I get the frozen cut green beans, olive oil, and garlic (fresh or jarred). Pour the olive oil in the pan, enough to cover the bottom well, once it's hot put the garlic in (to your own taste), sautee the garlic in the oil for 2-3 minutes, then throw the frozen green beans in there. Stir it all up and add any other seasoning you like. They stay crispy the flavor is wonderful!

  • Fresh: boil til done, drain, serve with butter/salt/pepper. Frozen: steamed, butter/salt/pepper. Canned: heat & eat (home canned).

  • I blanch them (boil for about 2 minutes, then put into an ice bath), then squeeze some lemon on them, grind a little fresh pepper, and you're done! Very low cal, too.

  • You can cut up bacon in it with some potatoes or use ham. Maybe put some onions in it if you like them.
