Should I go to the doctor for severe cramping?

I'm 36 weeks, and i know the baby dropped already. I feel a ton of pelvic pressure like he's pushing down really hard.. for the last 2 days i get a really really bad cramp in the side of my belly when i walk or do a lot of things standing up. I've heard severe cramps should always be reported to the doctor. I feel like labor is coming. Should i go to the hospital? or just wait the 4 days until my next appointment?

I DONT THINK ITS ANYTHING IF ITS JSUT HAPPENIGN WHILE MOVMENT IS GOIN ON . BUT YOU CAN CALL YOUR LOCAL ER AND ASK TO SPEAK TO A PRENATL NURSE AND EXPLAIN TO HER WAT GOING ON AND SHELL TELL YOU IF YOU SHOULD GO IN OR NOT

Could be nothing more than muscle strain from all that baby! Maybe not. I had "side stiches" too especially when walking or active. But the stakes are just too high - call the doc first thing in the morning unless it gets worse and then call now. I see that you are in Utah - it's late - read this and go to bed! :)

can't sleep lol a million things running thru my mind. i dont want to be embarassed by calling the dr when im not really in labor but i dont want it to turn into labor on sunday night when hubby has to work on monday, what if it is labor, what if it isn't. i'm also mad at my mom cuz she was all excited for me to have a baby but she went to california and turned off her cell phone all day, then didnt really care when i told her about these symptoms. i can't sleep! is it labor coming or is it nothing?! i cant just call my doctor, she's off this weekend, and labor and delivery kept me on hold for a hundred years waiting to talk to a labor nurse so i hung up... uhh....
