Can water make your ankles swell?

I'm 37 weeks pregnant and i've noticed that my ankles and feet has swollen greatly. I'm just wondering if it has something to do with me drinking alot of water lately?

  • It is not from drinking water (this is good from you), it is from retaining water. Call your doctor; you should probably get you blood pressure checked today

  • Reduce your salt intake, put your feet up and call the doctor (or Labor & Delivery) and talk with them to see what else you can do

  • No, it is just apart of being pregnant.  Elevate your feet.

  • Ya water retention. To give a little relaxation to the ankles you can put your feet in a bathtub filled with real cold water. It works... Be careful not to slip though...
