Swaddling and olive oil?

When my daughter was a month old she had colic. A cousin of mine told me to rub her stomach with olive oil and swaddle her tight and it would help. Worked like a charm, but I don't know how exactly it did. She said it was something alot of hispanic families do (hers included). Has anyone ever heard of this and how does it work?

  • most of the time the oil can help the stomach feel better and rubbing it relaxes the child and with you holding them it feels safer theres a lot of different variables hope that helps
