Need help with baby shower guest list...

Do I invite friends/family that I know won't be able to come (because of work schedules or distance) so I don't hurt anyone's feelings? Or does this come across as an expectation of a gift?

  • Actually, it's polite to invite them all...whether they come or not. It's up to the individual to send a gift or not. :)

  • The whole idea of a shower is gifts. I would rather be invited to something I couldn't attend then not invited at all. I couldnt make it to my daughters baby shower so we picked out gifts on amazon and had them sent to her.
