Does anyone know where I can get used furniture?

I am moving into my own apartment in a few days. Can anyone help me or tell me where I can get some furniture free or for extremely cheap. Budget doesn't allow for a huge expense.

  • Try your local Cragslist or Freecycle.

  • Craigslist is a good place for inexpensive used furniture. Goodwill or other thrift shops. Your local newspaper classified ads.

  • You can also try consignment shops if you have any in your area. Or Google consignment shops in or around your area if you don't know you have any.

  • You can ask for stuff on freecycle. I wouldn't ask for a whole houseful of furniture, but maybe one or two things. Like a small dining set and bookshelves. You just post it as wanted. Wanted small dining set Niceville, then in the next post Wanted bookshelf Niceville.
