What convertible carseat would you recommend?

my son's still in a backwards facing car seat but eventually i'd like to get him one. He'll be a year on the 25th and still doesn't reach the weight requirements (he's super long and skinny). I probably won't be getting him one until he's a year and a half maybe. Which one would you recommend?

  • Totally depends on your price range. Safety is one thing we don't scrimp on. We bought a Recaro Como. Recaro and Britax are in line with each other in safety and price, and they are on the higher side. But we're really happy with it. We kept DS rear facing in it for a long time. He's 2 1/2 now, and he has plenty of room to grow. It goes up to 70 lbs! Rear facing to 35 (I think most convertibles RF to about 35, but max the weight at 40 lbs). The weight thing is part of why we went with the Como.

  • We love our Graco Myride. Rear facing weight limit is 40 lbs. Forward facing weight limit is 65 lbs.

  • We have an Evenflo Triumph 65. Same weight limits as the Graco Myride for RF and FF.
