What to pack?

This isn't really a Mom question but I figured I need advice from some smart women so what better place? I'm going away for a long weekend to help out a friend. I'm leaving on a Thursday morning, back Sunday evening. As I will be riding public transportation, I need to keep my luggage to the bare minimum (say, a backpack & maybe a small tote/purse). Suggestions? Everything will be casual & I will be able to run one load of laundry. Help me out, Ladies!!

  • Just what you need. Bathroom stuff, a change of clothes, extra cash.

  • Assuming you are going to be able to do your one load of laundry at your friend's house and not a laundromat, I would take a pair of jeans, shirt, bra, two pairs of undies, socks, pajamas, travel sized toiletries. Friday night after I put on my PJ's, I would wash my clothes.
