Is avocado healthy?

I've seen on the internet that avocado isn't that healthy. What do you guys think/know?

  • It actually is healthy. It's high in calories, but it's the good fat.. and very high in fiber. That's if you eat it, not in guacamole. I usually just eat it with lemon juice and a tiny amount of salt. It's delicious!

  • It's loaded with vitamins and minerals, but it's high in calories because of the monounsaturated fats. Those are healthy fats, but that doesn't mean you should go crazy with them. Avocado in moderation is very good for you. Just don't eat 5 a day.

  • Avocados are fantastic! Yes it's got a lot of calories, but the benefits outweigh the bad. I especially like it in salads.

  • Avocado is a "super food". One of the 10 best things you can put into your body. But all things in moderation - they have a high fat content, so they're frowned on by people who are into extreme (read: unsafe) starvation diets.
