How fast will animal control come for a cat bleeding in the street after getting hit?

Hubby & I were on on our way home after dinner and saw a cat in the road, bleeding, yet alive. I called animal control right away and hope they get to it in time to help. Any ideas?

  • Me too. I don't know how people can hit and animal and not stop. I think humans are the worst animals of all.

  • What are you doing to help the cat? Is it warm and comforted? How severely does it appear to be injured?

  • Calling animal control is not like calling 911, most calls they usually consider routine.

  • The hot line was for injured or wild animals. I don't think that's routine.
