Don't know what to do, this is preg #3 I should know by now!..

for the past 2 days i have had pretty uncomfortable and some really painful braxton hicks but they are not regular. it's all day but it will go unnoticed for an hour or so sometimes. well along with those last night and this morning i am cramping SO SO BAD non stop.....somethings say if you are 31 weeks go to the doc immediatley and some say it's perfectly normal due to baby getting bigger and stuff. i have never had this in my other pregnancies - what would you do?

  • You better go in and get checked out JUST in case, My cousin is prego and had similur symptoms... She was going into premature labor and is only like 26 weeks! needless to say she is now on meds and bedrest! Better safe than sorry...

  • Go get checked out! If you are have 4 or more contractions in an hour, you need to head to labor and delivery to get checked out and since you are in pain, oh yes, get checked out. Good luck!!

  • It is quite possible that is pain from the baby getting bigger but its always better to be safe than sorry. If you are unsure though and Dont feel like sitting in the hospital for 6 hours just to be told nothing wrong you can always do this. Drink a couple big glasses of water then go lay down on your left side.. Then monitor your contraction by placing your hand on your belly (this way if you have a contraction that does not hurt you will still know) then every time you feel one write down the time and the length of it. Such as if you have one at 10:00 and it lasts 30 secs write that down. Do this for an hour and see how many you have. Then you can call your doctor with this info and go from there. Good luck to you. And Dont feel bad with not knowing every pregnancy is differant i am on baby number 5 and i still have questions.

  • I wouldn't risk it. I would at least call the doctor.
