How much will weight effect feeling the baby move?

I am overweight - about a size 20.

How long will that delay me being able to feel my baby move?
Will my husband be able to feel the kicks, or do I have too much padding?

  • I was overweight and I felt the baby move and do did my SO. It was really cool. You just have to pay attention to your body and what you are feeling. He may have to push a little harder and concentrate a bit harder to feel the baby move. Congratulations.

  • I'm a size 12 right now and I was a size 8 when I got pregnant with my DD, I'm 16 weeks and haven't felt anything this time and last time I didn't feel her move until 20 weeks. So, I think you'll feel the baby whenever the kicks get hard enough ... I don't think size really matters other than it might take longer for hubby to feel.
