Sweet tooth

Will the sweet tooth every go away? I've been good and cut it back a lot to maybe once or twice a week. When I want somthing sweet I try and chew gum but sometimes it just doesn't help.

Thanks.

  • 4 Hershy's Kisses is only 100 calories. Or try hard candy instead.

  • Try eating strawberries. They are sweet, and nutritious. Or making a fruit smoothie. Fruit is good for you, and can help with the sweet tooth:0 BUT, there is nothing wrong with embellishing in a treat a couple times a week! Sounds like you do better than me, I cannot resist a peanut butter cup!

  • Some people have to abstain completely and eventually the craving goes away (doesn't take long) For me, I do better if I allow a little. Quality dark chocolate with some kind of nut in it. I allow a small treat daily and some days I have an actual dessert and don't feel guilty. Still losing weight and I don't over do it!

  • I have an easier time not craving sweets when itotally cut them out. The first week or two are tough, but then I have no desire for them. Fruit can be a great way to go, especially berries or pineapple. You can also find lower calorie recipes for desserts to make occasionally. I keep a couple of treats that are tiny in the house, like peanut M&Ms. I pop one every great once in awhile.
