Two tone wedding bands

SO really likes white gold but I have a solitare set in yellow gold.

He has been looking at bands (for him) that are two tone. Would it look wierd for me to have a white gold wrap with my yellow gold band? Since most two tones are interlinked with both colors in both rings.

  • I don't think it matters, as long as you like it.

  • maybe... but you could have your yellow band rhodiumed with white gold and voula they match... you have to get it redone every few years but it could be a comprimise.

  • I don't think it would look good at all. Like a PP says, have it rhodiumed. My rings are 18K gold but I really prefer the look of silver so I have my rings rhodiumed every 2-3 years and you can't tell the difference. It does no harm to the gold or the stones and it only costs about $75. I would, however, make sure you have it done by a reputable jeweler so they don't switch out your stones for lesser quality ones. We have a personal jeweler we've used for years and he is the only one I will allow near my ring (he's also the one who made those rings for me).
