Does anyone elses s/o have a video game system (Wii, PS3, Xbox etc)??? It seems that the PS3 my lovely husband bought the "family" has turned into my worst enemy. He gets sucked into the games. If I talk to him I get a grunt back if I'm lucky. and then god forbid I ask him something twice I get an attitude. Help!

  • i would help you if i could but yeah video games can be fun but on the other hand guys are the worse you can try to get some games you like so y'all can play together or maybe even try the new interactive games like guitar hero rock back or the awesome new dance games then the whole family can get involved in and stay in shape

  • Yes my husband is an avid gamer and before I didn't understand and used to get mad at him for being "in the zone" but then I tried out some of his games and now join in on the fun. He still games much more than I'd like him to but over the years I have negotiated with and also with the help of a good counselor, he's starting to see how being addicted to gaming makes him antisocial and ruins his relationship with me. The game seems to offer an escape for men and perhaps you need to look into why he feels a big need to escape so much. Is it stress from work, not feeling like he's able to communicate with you or just plain boredom? I play World of Warcraft btw and it really is an addictive game and at least he sees that I'm not "against" him if I also play sometimes.

  • That a man for you, my husband has the Play station and sometimes when i say something he gets irritated because he is so into his game and sometimes he gets mad if he looses because i'm trying to talk to him...They take that very So what we do now when i am at work he play's all day but I notice when I call him he silent because he's in his game so I say talk to you later and hang up,,,,no problems or fights that way.
When were off together we bond that's our time and it works for us, try to find common ground and time for each other and give him his time for his games too, it's the same when football season is here and Nascar I don't call him I let him call me .
