Dd/bronchitis/prescription not working

i took my daughter (6) to the walk in clinic last weekend because she has had a really bad cough...the dr said she has bronchitis, so he gave her a prescription for "novamoxin" welll, its been a week..,she still has the cough, TECHNICALLY theres still 3 more days left for her medicine..but i would think that her cough should be better by now..should i take her back tomorrow..or wait til the whole 10 days worth of medicine is complete??

  • The prescription is not treating the cough, the doctor prescribed antibiotic for an infection, presumably in her lungs. The cough lingers with bronchitis, usually 2-3 weeks. It would be fine to give her lemon/honey or tea with lemon/honey to sooth the cough or to call the pediatrician to ask about cough suppressant medicine. Google bronchitis for more info. Hugs to you both!
