  • No. Religion & morals don't have to go hand in hand. Morality can still be taught in school and doesn't have to interfere with religious beliefs. the moral decline began when teachers started having sex with students and parents stopped parenting their children.

  • ..because we were so moral and upright by any standard prior to that??

my answer would be ''not me''.

  • idk what to blame honestly, I think it has more to do with the country moving away from God in general. Less people tend to teach their children the same values our grandparents taught their kids.

Answer by gemgem at 3:08 PM on Mar. 13, 2011

  • I definitely believe it was a factor.

  • Removing Prayer in school has nothing to do with moral decline. If you want to look at something to blame for moral decline, look at the parents of the kids not being parents or spoiling them and not using discipline and what becomes of the kids when they grow up. THAT is where your moral decline is coming in. Prayer has nothing to do with it.
