Spanish rice or Mexican rice... Which do you like cooking?

  • I do not know what Mexican rice is. But I get it when I go to the Mexican restaurants. I don't eat it because I am too full with everything else. No you have me wondering.
But I loved Spanish rice when I was growing up. I haven't made it in years.

  • what's the difference? since most restaurants here use an americanized version I'm sure. I would love an authentic recipe of either if you have one

  • I make mexican rice the same way my mexican mil does. I've never had anything that I would consider true spanish rice, but then I live in California where mexican food is abundant.

  • I live less than an hour from the Mexican border and I've never heard of Mexican Rice. Please share the ingredients. We have such a huge Tex-Mex influence here that Spanish rice is abundant. I'm curious now....gotta google.
