How can I keep my nail polish from chipping and peeling?

It's seem that within a few days my polish starts chipping and peeling.

  • use nail polish remover to remove oils from your nail then apply base, color, and top.

oils are why they are adhering properly... also try a 3 way file (file, conditioner, shiner) before using remover.

  • Yeah, I thinhk you can't expect it to last more than about 4 or 5 days. Just that's when you should expect to have to do it over.

  • once you have the color on, blow for five-10 mins, then run under cold water to allow them to set faster.

  • Usually it's the eaper polish that does that.
If you want to continue to use the kind you are using I reccomend putting a clear coat over your regular nail polish, that should make it stay longer =)

  • Apply a quick drying top coat daily.

  • Yeah I use a base and top coat. Even the good brands start chipping in at least 5 days. Is that the average for polish to last?
