Want to tell Eric Cantor & Congress what to cut?

http://majorityleader.gov/YouCut/YourIdea.htm

There are a lot of us who have clearly stated our thoughts and opinions on what the government should be cutting and/or not cutting - apparently they created a website to hear those ideas. So lets tell them. Stop letting the Teabaggers and Conservatives tell us what we want - lets tell them. Use their website to prove how little they know about us and this country!!!

From the website: "YouCut is designed to defeat the permissive culture of runaway spending in Congress. We need your help in identifying which program and spending cuts should be featured on this website each week. Use the form below to submit your ideas for YouCut - by working together, we will be able to change Washington's culture of spending into a culture of savings."

I never saw this in the news, never saw an article about it or heard anything about this anywhere - they are probably only telling their repub cronies so they will hear what they want to hear - don't let them say they are speaking for us without hearing our voices!!!

Here is a list of programs funded by the Federal Government - tell them what you want cut. Tell them what you want to keep. Tell them what agencies/departments should have their budgets changed.

Don't let the only ones talking be the conservatives!!!!!

  • Word for word out of Current events and hot topics? Or was it a chain email that went around? Any way, this was all over the news, and we talked about it on here...

http://www.google.com/search?hl=&q=youcut+program+news&sourceid=navclient-ff&rlz=1B3GGLL_enUS419US419&ie=UTF-8 The program is at least six months old and was on cbs.

I hate that term so badly.

  • It's their fault if they don't know. It was all over the news when the Republicans started in May of last year. I think you should flag that you copied and pasted that, because I was really ready to have a go with the first and third paragraphs there.

  • SAK--Why are you making a big deal about this?! I'm sure the White House posted a notice about where to send your ideas, and to the same website where Obama is posting every bill 72 hours before it's voted on, right?!

    LOL :o)
