Basalmic vinagerette. twigs bruchetta (sp?)

so I had this twigs appitizer on Saturday and it had (what i was told) was basalmic vinagerette on the plate. it was so great.
i bought some basalmic vinagerette today to put on salads at home.
it really does not taste the same -___- what i bought tastes like plain vinager :C
what can i do with it to make it better??

  • If you bring some balsamic vinegar with just a touch of lemon juice to a slow boil in a pot and reduce it to half, it becomes more syrupy and the flavor intensifies. Really yummy over asparagus and other vegetables

  • thanks I"ll try that :) (the stuff at twigs was a lot more syrupy than what i have so that makes so much sense :D)

  • I'm not an expert but I know the longer balsamic is aged the higher the quality and price. I was buying some the other day and saw a bottle for 28 bucks! Maybe the kind you had was of good quality.
